The Fraser Family is doing great! Where do we start.. first of all Simon is doing great in school. He is definitely the creepy, old guy in class that ruins the curve for everyone! I am very proud to stay that Simon made the Dean's list last quarter with a 4.0 and is well on his way to keeping that 4.0 this quarter. What a devoted husband, father and student he is!
Onto the twins. We took them to the doctors for their 6 month check up and they are growing and growing. Brynn weighs 13lbs 2oz and is 22 inches long and Mia weighs 14lbs 3oz and is 24 inches long. We were very excited with these weights and measurements because when the twins were born they were 1lb and 2 inches apart. This shows us that they are continuing to grow at their own steady pace!
NEWS FOR BRYNN: We also learned that Brynn will be having surgery on his foot sometime in November. We are waiting to hear from the Orthopedic Surgeon for the final date. Brynn is having his Achilles lengthened on his left foot.. this will give him better movement of the foot. While under the anesthetic he will also have his feeding tube switched out to a little button that will lay flat on his tummy. These are both outpatient procedures but because of his history being on the ventilator and because he is on so much oxygen, he will need to stay a few nights in the hospital.
NEWS FOR MIA: Mia has started teething. No teeth have popped out yet.. however, she is a drooling queen and is putting everything into her mouth. Teeth will be appearing very soon! We are also very excited to say that Mia got the go-ahead to eat rice cereal! It was a new experience for all of us to say the least but it just shows that our preemie babies are growing into little toddlers!! What a fun phase these kiddos are in!
