The Fraser Family: December 2009

Where do we start?! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We had both families over to our house. Yes, we all fit into our 2 bedroom condo! It was very nice getting both families together, because we have so much to be thankful for :) Simon once again got a 4.0 fall quarter. He did so well that both of his professors asked him to partake in research projects with them, so not only will be be helping his Biology and Chemistry professors do research.. he also is starting to do research with the Ohio State James Cancer Hospital. He is a busy man these days!

After looking back to this time last year.. me being on bed rest and all, Simon and I have decided to train for and run in a half marathon. We figured this would be something fun that we would do together and it would also be something that we could do not only to celebrate the life of our miracle babies but to celebrate our health... so please pray for us!!

So Big Girl Mia.. what isn't she doing these days?! To start off, she weighs over 18 lbs! Crazy huh? She is rolling from her back to tummy and tummy to back. She screams and makes all sorts of sounds. She eats all fruits and veggies.. except peas.. she HATES them! And now we are working on crawling.. I can't even believe I am saying this! Who would of thought that our 2lb 6oz little angel would be working on crawling! But our physical therapist is working on getting Mia on her keens and hands.. so cute to watch. Oh, and how can I forget.. Mia has a new best friend.. his name is Monty! She absolutely loves him! She grabs his mouth and feeds him treats every chance she gets!

And Big Boy Brynn. He is weighing in at a little over 15 lbs!! Even crazier! Thinking about the progress he has made brings tears to my eyes. I remember when I was ecstatic when Brynn would turn his head to the right, because all he wanted to do was look left... well now his lifting his head up on his own, only wanting to sit up... I guess lounging back is only for babies?! He is grasping at toys on his play mat and grabbing at toys when they are held in front of him. He is also STANDING now!! This is huge because he never had the strength to push up through his legs.. but this is not a problem any more! He is standing more and more everyday. He has also noticed his fingers and his hands and will just stare at his hands as he moves his fingers!! What a little miracle he truly is!!

Other then the kiddos getting a cold.. yes they both got a cold. After everything we have done to keep them from getting sick.. we think they picked something up at the doctors office, they handled it well. We only had a few days of suctioning noses and steaming up the bathrooms, but we let the twins sleep with us propped on a pillow.. so they actually slept great throughout the night. But other then this.. we are doing GREAT! God has blessed us more then I could ever express and we are just thankful for our life each and every day.
