One Year Ago Today.. Bed-Rest!

One year ago today, February 22, 2009, I was put on bed-rest, at OSU hospital.. at 22 weeks and 2 days pregnant with the twins. I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone at OSU that took care of me during this 4 week period. You all are wonderful!! It is crazy to look at our life now.. one year from all of the craziness. At this time last year we were being told that baby A (Brynn) basically had no chance of survival and that we should consider aborting him.. so I could go home and have a "normal"pregnancy. As I look into the eyes of our miracle baby, I see the miraculous power of God, and I want to scream from our roof top that miracles happen and people just need to have faith. Thank you God for all the wonderful blessings you have bestowed upon my family!

On that note.. The Fraser Family is doing wonderful! Simon is still busy kicking butt at school! He not only is getting A's in his classes but he is getting 100%s on his exams. He is working so hard and the twins and I are so thankful for all of his hard work and dedication. He wakes up around 5 o'clock to do some studying, goes and works out, comes home and spends some time with the kids, goes to school until around 5.. (or 9 if he has a Kaplan Review course) and then spends time with the family. He is a busy man, but always seems to find time for Brynn, Mia, Monty and myself. We are so lucky to have him as a father and husband :) I am busy taking care of the kids and the house. I am loving EVERY SINGLE second of it and would not change it for anything. I personally believe that motherhood was meant for me.. I go to bed thinking about my twins and wake up excited to spend my day with them. I am so lucky that I am able to do what I love to do... which is stay at home and raise my children. I thank God everyday for this. Other then school and spending time with the family, Simon and I are still running.. can you believe it?! We ran 10 miles this past Saturday. We ran it in 1 hour and 50 minutes.. so we ran 11 minute miles. This is something that we can do together.. and we actually enjoy doing it!

Onto Miss Mia. Our little girl.. or should I say big girl, is weighing in at 21.5 lbs!! She is now saying mama and dada regularly, however we do not think she knows what she is saying yet, because she calls everyone mama and dada!! She is getting around these days by army crawling, to the point that we had to go and get baby gates today. She now not only has her 2 bottom teeth but is now getting her 2 top teeth. She is even eating people food now (cheerios, cheese, bread, puffs, corn, etc..) She is worse then Monty when it comes to begging!! Anytime that food is around she spits her Binky out and just gives the look.. like can I have some please?! I was freaking out about her chocking; however, I am getting more comfortable with it everyday. Mia has started mimicking faces and sounds that Simon and I make, which is so cute! She has even started playing games with us, like peak-a-boo and leaning back until we tickle her neck and then she comes back up! The older she gets, the more fun she becomes!

Mr. Brynn has had a big month! He weighs 18.5 lbs and is looking more and more like a little boy everyday. Brynn was taken off all of his medications this past Wednesday, which mean when we go back to the doctors on March 17th we will start weaning down his oxygen!! We are so excited for this. The twins also had their developmental evaluation this past Wednesday and boy oh boy did Brynn surprise me. Brynn was all over the board for his developmental age, but when it came to his Fine Motor skills he was at the level of an 8 month old!! There was a task where the therapist took and tea cup and covered 2 dice. She showed Brynn how to put his fingers through the handle to raise the cup to get to the dice. Brynn then put his finger though the handle and attempted to raise the cup. I was shocked and so proud of my little man!! He really surprises me everyday! He has even started putting his arms straight and has begun to put pressure through his arms.. this is something that he has never done before, so once again I am a proud mama. Brynn has also started going to the Feeding Clinic at Children's Hospital.. to help us get him eating again!. It is going to be a process, but I know my little peanut will be eating again before I know it.

Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for their prayers and support over the past year and a half. Without all of you, we would have not been able to get though this. So from my family to your family.. Thank you!
