March.. Our last month stuck inside our house!

March has been a very busy but fun month for us. We have been counting down the days until April, because this is the time that we are finally able to be a normal family and go anywhere and everywhere we want. We will also finally be able to introduce the twins to everyone that has been waiting so patiently to meet them! Simon is still kicking butt in school... he still has a 4.0 and has started classes back at OSU this week. I am still training for the half marathon that is on May 1st. I ran 12 miles this past Saturday, but unfortunately Simon hurt his knee, so he isn't able to run with me anymore :( But Garth ran with me for 6 miles and my mom ran with me for 6 miles.. so it made the 12 miles go by fast!

On March 6th we had a really nice day and decided to take the kids to the Zoo for the very 1st time. Our doctors said that we could take the kids in open areas, so when the nice weather presented an opportunity to go somewhere outside, we jumped at the opportunity! This was SOO much fun! It was our 1st time out of the house as a family.. we can't wait to have more of these trips! We also had a very special visit from our good friends Nick and Jamie Speegle. Simon and Nick played together in Cleveland.. this is obviously where we met them.. but sadly they live in New Mexico and we are here in Columbus.. but we try and see them at least once a year and after the craziness that we had last year, it had been 2 years since we had seen them. They came up for a weekend and we had a blast going to the park, the zoo, and drinking wine on our balcony! Miss you guys!

The twins are getting so big! Mia is 22lbs 7oz and is 28.5 inches long and has 2 bottom teeth and 2 top teeth. She starting crawling and then a few days later started pulling herself up. She now never wants to be on her bottom and only on either her knees or feet. Its so cute to watch.. just this little girl pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and attempting to walk while holding onto things. She is also feeding herself now and and has advanced to a "Big Girl" car seat!! Wow.. where does the time go!? One last thing that I need to share about Miss Mia is that she is completely a Daddy's Girl. If Simon is in the room she only wants to be with him. She pushes my hands away and holds on to him for dear life if I try and take her.. but don't be fooled.. when dad's not around I'm no longer chop liver.. I'm the favorite parent! I keep asking Mia to show me the scar that daddy has from being cut open to get her out!!! So sweet though.. their bond is amazing! I wouldn't have it any other way!

Mr. Brynn is of course getting huge too! He is 19lbs 15oz and 26 and 3/4 inches. Still no teeth yet.. but I'm sure they will be coming in soon?! He is playing hide-and-seek with us, pulling blankets off of his face. He is allowing us to put our fingers in his mouth.. we're trying to move his gag reflex to the back part of his mouth.. where it should be! He is also drinking water off of a spoon and even little, itty bites of pears or apples off of a spoon. Its not much but we are definitely making progress.. which is all we care about! He is also moving his tongue around. This is great, because it allows him to get food, liquid, or saliva in his mouth and by moving his tongue.. he is able to move the substance around his mouth and then able to swallow it properly. But the biggest news we have about Brynn is he was lowered from 1.5 liters of oxygen to 1 liter of oxygen and is doing GREAT! We go back in April and will hopefully go down to .5 liters.. so keep praying for our little man! He is just a snuggle bug. He loves everyone and will always greet you with a "Mal" smile :)
