Lets see, where do I start?! We had a great Easter with the kids this year... much better then last year! We woke up and did brunch as a family and then later in the afternoon both Simon's family and my family came over for dessert and vino. It overall was a very relaxing and fun day! Then on Mother's Day, I woke up to flowers from the twins with a signed card and donuts for breakfast! Simon let me sleep in and while I was sleeping he took both kids out to get everything. He is such a wonderful, thoughtful husband! We then had brunch with my family and then dinner with Simon's family and once again it was just a very nice, relaxing day! Then on May 1st, I ran in the Columbus Half Marathon with Garth and finished in 2:17. It was such a great day and I have such a great sense of accomplishment. My two sisters and I are now training for the half marathon in October... we thought it would be something fun we could do as sisters! Then the week after the half marathon, my sister Chelsea graduated from Bowling Green with her bachelors degree in Special Education! So, we have had a very busy April and May to say the least! Other then that, Simon is still busy in school, doing his cancer research and getting ready to take the MCat in July. He only has a few more weeks of classes, then he gets a week off and then starts a 6 week course in the summer and then finally when that is over, he will have some much needed time to get some R & R before fall quarter starts! We are also getting ready to move in with Simon's parents this weekend. We have finally reached our breaking point with running out of space and not being able to spend time outside, so we have decided to rent out our condo (we can't sell it right now because of the market) and move in the the Frasers and finally enjoy some space and outdoor living! We did find a house that we really love, but we think we are going to wait to buy a home, until we know if Simon has gotten into Ohio State College of Medicine. We hate to have two houses here and then be renting somewhere else!! So we should know where Simon will be attending Med School by next Spring at the latest! So please say your prayers for OSU! We love it here and don't want to move!
Miss Mia weighs 23 pounds and is into everything and has has 8 teeth!! She is balancing on her own, clapping her hands and walking very well with her little walker. I am just waiting to see her take her 1st steps. She gets into everything she isn't supposed to be in and loves playing with anything and everything that is not a toy!! She enjoys going up the steps and we are working on coming down the steps now. She is doing so well that she got kicked out of Physical Therapy.. which is a really good thing!! She is now off of formula and is on whole milk and is done using bottles. Only sippy cups for our big girl :) She is also eating everything in sight! If she sees food she starts screaming for it, which you will see by the pictures she isn't being starved!! So we are working on her using sigh language for "more please". She has such an amazing personality and she makes me so happy and proud everyday that God chose me to be her mother! I am so blessed!
Mr. Brynn weighs 20 pounds and has his 1st little tooth poking through. He is down to .4 liters of oxygen and when we go back in the middle of June he will only be on oxygen at night and then hopefully in the middle of July he will be off oxygen all together. He is doing very well with his physical therapy! His hips and legs are getting loser by the week and his is now rolling from his tummy to his back. You can tell he is ready to get going with Mia, so we are now working on army crawling and standing so he will eventually walk. He is also developing quite the personality! He smiles at everyone that walks into the room and he is talking more and more. He has discovered Baby Einstein Puppets and giggles as he watches the dvds! He is also wanting more and more attention.. being held, etc. which is exciting because in the past he has been very content playing by himself. We are still working on his eating. He discovered ranch dressing today.. so I think this might be a turning point for us! We were also able to schedule Brynn's hernia surgery for August 19th. I guess his hernias are very rare, because they are so big. This means that the procedure will take 3 to 5 hours and will be very in-depth, with a few days to a week in the hospital. We know he is a fighter and will do just fine, but if you could keep him in your prayers we would really appreciate it. Brynn is just such a joy and makes my heart smile everyday! When god decided to allow Brynn to survive and gave him to Simon and I, he changed our lives forever. We have never been so grateful, so full of life and so content. Thank you lord for giving us these precious gifts of life!!!
