At the end of May, Brynn and Mia had their last day of preschool. It was bittersweet because Mia had to say good bye to all of her friends and teachers because she was moving onto Kindergarten. Brynn however, said his farewells but we knew he would be back in August for one more year of preschool. We enjoyed a little picnic to celebrate a great year, its hard to believe we have another year under our belt!
The twins got to enjoy Safety Town. It was a 2 week summer program that taught the kids safety. Everything from bike riding, fire, driving signals, strangers and more! The program is amazing and taught by police officers. Both Mia and Brynn loved it! It also did not hurt that they had friends in their class!
Mia and Brynn started participating in sports! The first sport we signed them up for was T-Ball! Mia was able to play on one of the Upper Arlington leagues. Knowing that Brynn would not be able to keep up with kids his age, running, hitting, etc. I found him a T-Ball team for kids with special needs! Brynn had a buddy that helped him hit, run and catch! He always seemed to be the star of the game! Mr. Personality :) It took Mia a little longer to get use to playing. Simon was one of the assistant coaches, which we thought would make it a little easier for Mia, but by the end of the season, she decided she liked T-Ball!
At the end of May I had a cerclage put into place. After the premature birth of the twins, my OB did not want to take any chances, so we decided it would be best for me to have a cerclage (stitch my cervix shut, so I would not dilate) along with weekly progesterone shots (weeks 14-36). The cerclage was a procedure that had to be done in the OR but took less then 30 minutes. I was willing to do ANYTHING to have a full term pregnancy!
My belly continued to grow a little bigger each week! I also had bi-weekly doctor appointments to make sure Baby F was safe! It is so fun watching our little miracle grow!
