The Fraser Family: June and July 2013

June and July were great months! The kids were done with preschool and the summer officially started! We enrolled the twins in swim lessons. They both did very well. Brynn lead his class. Showing he was not afraid to go under water, attempt to float on his stomach and back and jump off the side of the pool! Mia also did very well and was moved up a level. She is swimming all by herself. Jumping off the side of the pool, low dive and high dive! It is so much fun watching her swim and dive to the bottom of the pool. This is how our days were spent. Swim lessons in the morning, pool time after swim lessons, lunch and then we would go home and take a break. Depending on how everyone was feeling, we would sometimes go back to the pool at night for a night swim or dinner! Simon was still in Athens so whenever he was able to join us, pool time was always so much more fun :)

Brynn continues to improve while going to therapy. His legs are getting stronger and he is eating is getting better. He is still eating purees and is getting better drinking from a cup.

In July we celebrated the 4th of July at home. Upper Arlington is known for their 4th of July Parades, so we were excited to watch it. Simon and I were asked to help judge, which was a really fun experience. We then enjoyed a wonderful display of fire works at night! The 4th of July is one of my favorite times of year!!

During July, we even got to visit and explore Chicago. Simon had a conference there and it just happened to be the same weekend of Garth's 50th Birthday. So we decided that the best place to celebrate a 50th Birthday is in Chicago! Simon flew out a few days before us and my mom, Garth, the twins and I drive to Chicago. We had SO much fun! We shopped, ate amazing food, went to Navy Pier and took a bike tour all around. It was an amazing weekend!!
